the structure of our
employees. New departments have been
created, Managers have been shifted about,
and new Management roles have been
created. Two of those very important roles
are our new Regional Managers. They will
work closely and collaboratively, sharing
resources, ideas, and energy to bring
insurance solutions for our clients and to
help everyone at Waypoint perform at their
very best. Their extensive knowledge in the
industry as well their experience leading
people make them the perfect fit, and we
are so excited to announce them!

LEONA PERKINS,
Regional Operations Manager JENNIFER LOWREY,
Regional Sales Manager
Leona Perkins has over 12 years’
experience in the Insurance Industry,
working with several different agency
models, from family owned to mid-sized
to corporate. She has experience in
Commercial, Personal, and Auto Insurance
and also has a background in accounting.
Leona has earned her CAIB designation
with honours. Outside of work, Leona
enjoys gardening, home renovations, and
the outdoors. Leona is currently serving
on the board of directors for the Campbell
River Chamber of Commerce, volunteers
her time with Rotary, and is community
minded. Jennifer has always had a mission to lead
people and get them excited about what
they do. Jennifer’s background involved
working within a sales-based environment;
in her own small business, in large
retail management, and the banking/
finance industry. Jennifer started with
Waypoint Insurance eight years ago, as
she was looking to grow with a company
that offered dynamic leadership and
opportunities for career advancement
and mentorship. At Waypoint, Jennifer
learned the ropes of Auto, Personal, and
Commercial Insurance with hands-on
experience in each role. She took on
managing the Nanaimo Turner Road
branch in 2014. Since then, Jennifer has
been involved in onboarding Acquisitions
and bringing the Waypoint culture to new
employees.
We asked them what excites them the most about their new roles and here is what they said:
Leona: “I am most excited to work closely with our leadership team. This group is open, honest, and direct. They know how to get things
done and are growing our business at lightning speed.”
Jennifer: “I am beyond excited to take on the new role of Regional Sales Manager and bring my energy and ideas to a new level and share it all
with Waypoint Insurance. I am looking forward to growing Personal and Auto Sales at Waypoint and in the process, developing the careers of
many other talented Waypoint staff.”
