THE ���T�N�� , No . 5inthe latest North Jersey Top 25 rankings , captured their first Passaic County wrestling championship in 3� years at West Milford High School in January . It ’ s the program ’ s first title since earning four in arow from 1��3-1��� . Clifton produced three individual champions to finish with 15� points , outdistancing runner-up Lakeland ( 13� . 5 ) and defending champions and third place Passaic County Tech ( 125 ). West Milford ( 11� . 5 ) and Passaic �alley ( 10� ), finished in fourth and fifth-place , respectively . “ This is avery hard working team ,” Clifton coach �an �eleta says . “ The kids root for each other , and they ’ ve been making each other better every single day� It ’ s been along road since the school last won acounty title . Jersey Pizza Joints , aFacebook group with �� , 000 members founded by Clifton ’ s ��� ����EN , held its third annual Pizza Bowl in February . The competition pitted more than 3,100 restaurantsagainst one another in aMarch Madness-style bracket voting matchup that yieldedfinal nominees from the Shore and North , Central and South Jersey . These top contenders thenmet at Redd ’ s Bar and Restaurant in Carlstadt on Feb . �for alive cook-off , �udged by Madsen and others , including �arfield native Eddie Brigati , formerlyofthe late-1��0s band The Young Rascals .
Their decision� The �udges were most fired up by newcomer Coniglio ’ s �ld Fashioned ofMorristown , whose owner , Nino Coniglio , is aLas �egas pizza champ as well as a ��opped champion . Money raised by the event , through aportion of admission plus donations from agood number of pizza places that participated , should total about �20,000 . Jersey Pizza Joints gave the sum to Tunnel to Towers , an organization that builds homes for �old Star and first responder families , and other programs .
