Bringing you the best of Wayne
W
elcome to Wayne
Magazine’s spring issue,
and its 12th annual
Readers’ Choice poll. Over
a dozen years, our area
has changed a lot, and our
survey answers some interesting questions. How
are older, more established restaurants and busi-
nesses doing? What food and shopping trends
did we say goodbye to, and which ones excite us
now? Which go-to places have stood the test of
time? Find out how your neighbors feel inside
these pages.
You’ll also find a dining review of Café
Chameleon, a newcomer to the area whose culi-
nary philosophy is built on the refreshing nature
of change. Chef Bryan Gregg says that he plans to
alter the restaurant’s menu as often as eight times
over a year to keep it hyper-seasonal.
And here’s a new concept: Decorate your
home so that it looks sophisticated, yet accommo-
dates young kids. In “Livable Luxury,” Veronica
Pluta of White House Living in Fairfield shows
that yes, it can be done. Also, up-and-coming
actress/writer/director Haley Finnegan shares
the benefits to performers of creating their own
content, an increasingly familiar route to greater
visibility and satisfaction.
