LEANING IN, LEANING BACK
(Top) A mirrored buffet adds drama to the dining room. (Above)
The wooden oval table, which has a metal base, seats eight and is
illuminated by the metal and glass chandelier. (Right) The window
treatments in the family room carry on the animal print theme,
and the colors in the family room rug are from the same palette as
the floor covering in the living room — cool gray and warm beige.
Between the mirror-and-wood-fronted media cabinet and the large
sectional paved with pillows, an ottoman-cocktail table provides
a number of functions. It is 54 inches on each side, with a leather
border that is wide enough for propping legs up on; the inner
wood surface supports removable trays. “If you’re having a snack,
you can put one on your lap,” says Pluta.
