W
elcome to the spring issue, in which
we share the results of our crowd-
sourced READERS’ CHOICE POLL .
Readers cast the 4,461 votes
naming perennial winners,
exciting newcomers and a few best
kept secrets. To learn where to find
the best of everything in the greater
Wayne area, just crack open these
pages.
Other features include “Putting
the Fun in Fitness,” in which we
interview Wayne native JESSICA
GLAZER , who was named one of 12
finalists in the recent “America’s
Most Inspiring Trainer” competition conducted by
Well+Good in partnership with ReebokONE. In
addition to being a gymnast and personal trainer,
Glazer has launched a company called FITtrips —
Friendship Inspired Training — that combines
women’s workout classes with social events such
as cooking classes and field trips. And in “A Soccer
Season to Remember,” Wayne Valley High School
grad, Scholar All-American and The College of New
Jersey senior KELLY WIECZERZAK recounts what it feels
like to play soccer in a Final Four game…and get
edged out. Though she claims she’s still getting over
it, the defeat didn’t diminish her love for the sport.
We understand. Nothing is without its setbacks,
but when you love what you do, you look forward
to getting up the next day and doing it. We feel that
way about bringing you stories about the people in
our communities. What are you passionate about?
