Editor’ s Note
Iam truly thrilled to reveal this year’ s winners for the annual Readers’ Choice Awards for Wayne Magazine. You have selected awide, vibrant variety of places toshop, eat and enjoy throughout the Wayne area.
One of the beauties ofareaders’ choice awards is that it covers the entire distribution area ofthe magazine, so it allowed me to dive right inand explore all that Wayne and its surrounding communities have to offer.
In my analysis of the results, Ican see that there are some popular favorites among readers, particularly when it comes tofood. Ialso saw some newcomers are rapidly gaining aloyal following. Afew of the categories were too close tocall, so Ideclared atie. That way there are more winners and more wonderful places to explore.
In this issue, we also showcase the interiors of abeautiful home on Pines Lake. Its charming décor was alabor oflove for the homeowners and matches their busy and joyful lifestyle.
St. Patrick’ sDay is just around the corner and our friends at Grasshopper Too have prepared atraditional Irish meal tohelp us celebrate. Since everyone is Irish on St. Patrick’ sDay, make sure to grab aGuinness and aplate of corned beef and cabbage.
It is also our pleasure tosit down with longtime Wayne Mayor Christopher Vergano, who has a passion for public service in the community he loves.
Finally, weprofile Betty Garger, CEO of the Girl Scouts ofNorthern New Jersey in Riverdale, who will share her thoughts about 100-plus years of developing leadership skills among girls and young women in our communities. Happy Spring! ■
