The Sevrets chose the services of Rivers Kitchens in Bloomingdale to renovate the kitchen. A bigger island was put in the kitchen because it’ s the heartofthe home, and with the dining room right next to it, there’ s plenty of space. The marble floor features a herringbone“ rug” around the island. The marble tile continues into the foyer. The countertops double-slab graniteand a marble mosaic is featured above the cooktop.
The kitchen appliances, which are by Wolf and Subzero, include a cooktop, two refrigerators, a double oven and drawer refrigeration in the island.
The coffered ceiling, which was completed by Spectrum painting, is covered with wallpaper that is painted and glazed to create afaux-tin ceiling. Beautiful wrought iron pendants hang above the 12-foot island. The round table and chairs in the turret room is moreofaplaceholder where Michelle hopes to put a piano one day. The homeowner kept the blue theme throughout the house – light blues and gold wallpaper, hand stamped Italian wallpaper that was already in the house. It’ s a very sunny room and has a beautiful lake view, so the space is often used for homework.
