HOME NEW ADDITIONS (Top) The kitchen, which had been relocated several times within the house, was upgraded with modern appliances. (Middle) The breezeway was extended as a walkway to the newest addition. (Bottom) The family room addition has cherry wood flooring. Holland’s windmills frame the fireplace in honor of the original homeowners. An antique cradle and Windsor chairs add embellishment to the style of the rooms and complement original wood flooring. A carved staircase leads up to the loft, which was originally undivided and used for storage and sleeping. Older bedrooms are above the Lafayette room. The original kitchen was made into a library, where Pecky Cypress wood covers the walls. The Tiefenbachers extended the breezeway along the exterior of the house as a walkway into the new addition.
