ometimes, when house-hunting, it helps to have
grown up in a township that has homes in
beautiful settings. Though the owners of this
lovely Italian provincial residence on Pines Lake
were originally looking to buy a place in Franklin
Lakes, the husband had grown up in Wayne, and
suggested looking there to his wife, who is from Westfield.
“She came in to look at it, and she didn’t even make it as
far as the windows before she called her husband and said,
‘I’ve found our house!’” says Lynn Brescia, the Coldwell
Banker realtor who sold the home to the couple in 2008
and is once again marketing it, now that the owners are
downsizing.
ENJOYING AN EYEFUL
(Right) Expansive views of Pines Lake are available all along the back of the
home, which has 9- and 10-foot ceilings that let in ample light; hardwood
flooring is seen on the first and second floors. This family room has a gas
fireplace, custom trim and moldings throughout, as well as motorized win-
dow shades that can let in the lakeside panorama or shut it out for privacy.
