Wayne residents’ estate is a landscaped retreat

T
his custom home is a star, but it’s the landscaping surrounding it
that steals the show. The homeowners, who until a few years ago
owned and operated the popular restaurant Novelli, were attract-
ed to the .89-acre property’s parklike setting, with its koi pond,
bridge, manicured pathways and plantings, and backyard pool
and deck. “They love to entertain outdoors,” says Lynn Brescia,
a realtor with Coldwell Banker who markets properties in Bergen and Passaic
Counties. It’s hard to imagine not wanting to luxuriate in this home’s outdoor
spaces, though the interior is tempting, too.
BRIDGE OF SIGHS
The homeowners added tile and furniture to the covered front porch, converting the “concrete
slab” into an attractive area for lingering and taking in the view. They also added pavers to the
driveway. The homeowners appreciate the flat nature of the property, which prevents flooding.
