CHILTON MEDICAL CENTER DONATES AUTOMATIC
EXTERNAL DEFIBRILLATOR (AED) TO LOCAL TENNIS CLUB
It was a typical Saturday for Tom Delleart as he was preparing for
a competitive doubles match on the tennis courts at the Pacquenac
Tennis Club. Suddenly, Tom was struggling to catch his breath
and minutes later he was in sudden cardiac arrest. Thanks to an
automatic external defibrillator (AED) used by the Wanaque Police
Department, Tom was resuscitated and rushed to Chilton Medical
Center where he received further life-saving treatment. Recently,
Chilton presented an AED to Pacquenac Tennis Club officers,
including Tom, so they can have one right on site. In turn, the
Club presented Chilton Medical Center with a $500 donation.
Thank you to the Pacquenac Tennis Club for helping Chilton build
healthier communities!
