CHILTON MEDICAL CENTER
RANKS NUMBER ONE
MID-SIZED HOSPITAL IN NJ, AGAIN
For the second consecutive year, Chilton Medical Center was
ranked by New Jersey physicians as the top mid-sized hospital
in the state among those with 350 beds or fewer by Castle
Connolly Medical Ltd., one of the nation’s most respected
health care research and information companies.
C
hilton Medical Center, part of Atlantic
Health System, was also ranked number
one or two among hospitals under
350 beds in the following medical specialties:
hip and knee repairs, neurological disorders,
pain management, breast cancer, prostate
cancer, congestive heart failure, stroke and
high risk pregnancies.
“Providing our patients and communities
with excellent quality medical care in a compas-
sionate environment has always been our goal,”
said Stephanie Schwartz, president of Chilton
Medical Center. “This recognition is a testa-
ment to the spirit of collaboration shared
among our hospital employees and medical
staff. It also reinforces that area physicians trust
our dedicated staff will provide patients with
the highest standards of care.”
These rankings are published in Inside Jersey
magazine’s April 2017 issue. More than 2,900
licensed physicians in New Jersey participated
in the online survey by Castle Connolly, Ltd,
which was distributed in fall 2016. Physicians
cast nearly 42,000 votes on the treatment of
specific medical conditions and top overall
hospitals in the state. The results were divided
into two categories: hospitals with more than
350 beds and those with 350 beds or fewer.
Chilton Medical Center’s sister hospitals also
made the top hospital lists. Morristown Medical
Cente r ranked No. 2 and Overlook Medical
Center ranked No. 5 in the large New Jersey
hospital category while Newton Medical Center
was ranked No. 3 and Hackettstown Medical
Center ranked No.5 among the mid-sized
hospital category. ❖
