A Very Creative Couple

Educated at Columbia University, Albert Payson Terhune
was a staff writer for the New York Evening World, who
wrote more than 60 novels, serials, short stories and
poems, as well as several screenplays and stage plays.
Terhune married Anice Stockton, a music composer and
fellow author (above). They lived in the Wayne area on
the property known as Sunnybank on the Pompton
Lake waterfront, where they also bred prize-winning
champion collies
