Happy Holidays!
T
hanksgiving is once again near, and we
here at Wayne Magazine are grateful for
the people in our community who make
it a better place. Take, for example, Dr.
Elsie Koh, the interventional radiologist
in Woodland Park who has pioneered a procedure
to help patients with kidney failure, enabling them
to have same-day surgery instead of a riskier
alternative. She is also a life coach who hopes to
inspire others to take leadership roles, as she has as
a physician in a specialty in which, when she
first joined it, only 1 percent were women.

local audiences. Young New Jersey dancers benefit
from working alongside Russian and Ukrainian
professionals, and show-goers in Passaic and sur-
rounding counties don’t have to venture into New
York City to have a memorable cultural experience.
For physical activities easily accessible to Wayne
residents at this time of year, “Cool Activities for
Cold Weather” lays out a half-dozen destinations
for hiking, skating and even glowing in the dark.
Where else could you find that combination of
possibilities?
So it is with an “attitude of gratitude” that all of
us at Wayne Magazine wish you and yours a happy
and healthy season.
