HOLIDAY CHEER IN EVERY ROOM (Clockwise from top left) The family room, located in the back of the house, overlooks Packanack Lake. Greenery and white lights run atop the green cabinetry, and are set to glow all evening until 10 p.m. (Top) The family’s main Christmas tree stands 9 feet tall. “There is not one space that isn’t cov- ered with ornaments,” says McGrady. “So many meaningful times are commemorated here. There are ice skates because we skated, and we’re all swimmers.” The life-size Santa carries presents, she says, and is the focal point for the room. The 4-foot tree in the corner next to the wall unit remains lit throughout the year. The Tudor home’s stone exterior makes a nice backdrop for the family’s icicle lights and many wreaths with plaid bows hanging from all the windows. (Left) The cozy den facing the street is ideal for sitting, playing games, and sharing stories over hot chocolate. ■ WAYNE MAGAZINE HOLIDAY 2019 43
