PASSAIC COUNTY
GETS ITS OWN
P.F. CHANG
After mid-December, you won’t
need to drive to Bergen County
to get your P.F. CHANG’s fix; the
popular Houston-based Asian
restaurant that prides itself on pre-
paring its fresh ingredients in woks
is opening in WILLOWBROOK
MALL, in the Bloomingdale’s wing.
Diners who love chicken lettuce
wraps and egg drop soup but hate
gluten will enjoy their gluten-free
versions; new dishes and drinks are
frequently added to the menu for
lunch, happy hour and dinner.

ONCE ON THE ISLAND WINS WAYNE
RESIDENT AN AWARD
In his day job, Pines Lake resident ROY PUTRINO (front, third from left) is a
pharmacist who owns Basic Home Infusion, a home care company serving
customers with movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple
sclerosis. But after hours, he’s a theatrical producer, a pastime that paid off
this year, when he was one of several producers to win a Tony Award for this
year’s revival of the musical Once on this Island. “I have always enjoyed the
arts, and since Wayne is so close to New York City, I decided to learn more
about producing,” he says. Since taking classes in production a decade ago,
he has invested in 14 plays. “This new chapter in my life has allowed me to
experience the excitement of Broadway, and the incredible process it takes
to bring a play to the stage,” he says.
