The only tree with colored lights is
in the library. That’s the one the kids
decorate themselves without suggestion or direction from their parents.
This is where they hang anything they
ever made in daycare and kindergarten. Every ornament focuses on
kid stuff or has a pic of Brugge or
Hayden when they were little, and is
made of popsicle sticks, macaroni,
pine cones, and candy/popcorn
strings. Their nutcracker collection

The fireplace in the family room is
framed by two Alpine trees with white
lights that sparkle against snow-covered branches. Several nativities are
set out around the house; some are
hers, one is from Ian’s grandmother.
