InOctober of 2020 , Dr . Justine Schepistookover the dental practice of Dr . Frank Russo , who had been there for the past 30 years . “ It wasveryhumblingand quite anhonor to be able to continue Dr . Russo ’ s practice ,” Dr . Schepis says . “ He issuch a nice , caring man , and all of his patients speak so highly of him . He has helped tremendously with the transition , and he and his wife are now my friends and patients .”
JSC isknown as awarm , family practice . Dr . Schepis appreciates that the practice ismultigenerational and that she gets to really know her patients and their families . For their part , the patients appreciate the continuity inthe practice since Dr . Russo ’ sretirement . Along with the continuity , there has been growth .
Dr . Schepis ’ passion isdentistry . After graduating Rutgers University , she attended NYU Dental School andcompleted a residency atHackensack Meridien Health Mountainside . She takes many continuingeducation classes , constantlylearning new techniques and new technology sothat she can offer her patients the latest advancements in dentistry . She also belongs tostudy clubs where she and other dentists share their knowledge . Additionally , she has received advanced training inorthodontic treatment with Six Month Smiles ® and ClearCorrect . Dr . Schepis isamember ofthe American Dental Association .
The office utilizes cutting-edge technology , including anintraoral scanner , which improves the quality , speed , and accuracy of treatments . Dr . Schepis plans to continuously improve her patients ’ experiences and outcomes byseeking out the latest technology and techniques .
Dr . Schepis enjoys esthetic and cosmetic dentistry , but she prides herself on being ageneral dentist .“ The general dentist is the one steering the ship . Ihave agreat team oforal surgeons , endodontists , prosthodontists , orthodontists , and periodontists whom Ican refer to and work with to get to a patient ’ s desired outcome . Although the practice was renowned first for Dr . Russo and now Dr . Schepis , Dr . Schepis is quick to point out that the office ’ s continuing popularity is a team effort :“ I have two associates who are wonderful and awarm , caring staff , all of whom help me provide my patients with the best possible care .” JSC Dentistry ’ s success is rooted in the past and the legacy built byDr . Russo while embracing the future being created by Dr . Schepis .
Dr . Schepis is an active member of the local and dental community ; she has traveled to Nicaragua to provide dental treatment to those without access tocare and has visited school systems to educate students onoral health . When she is not practicing dentistry , speaking about dentistry , or reading about dentistry , Dr . Schepis enjoys hiking , taking walks , cooking , and spending time with her husband and baby .
