It’s safe tosay that this season will be like no other. But then again, learning takes many forms, and it never ends. Take, for example, former Wayne resident Fiona Davis. She studied journalism, and after experiencing its joys and limitations, transitioned to fiction and became abestselling author. She shares her own story in “Ripped from the Imaginary Headlines.” Dr. Khyati Joshi, who lives in Wayne, became adiver- sity trainer after experiencing bullying in her Atlanta classrooms. She studied world religions and social justice before establishing the CINDY SCHWEICH HANDLER Institute for Diversity and Social Justice, where she teaches instructors how to make students of all backgrounds feel welcome in the classroom. You can read about her journey in“Teaching the Teachers.” Tahesha Way has learned to wear a number of hats. She’s New Jersey’s Secretary of State; she launched a new digital and marketing initiative by the state division of New Jersey Travel &Tourism called Taste NJ, which supports the Garden State’s restaurants, wineries and breweries; and she’s an avid foodie and baker. We talk to her about her many interests and talents in “Taster in Chief.” None of these individuals were born with the knowledge to do what they do, of course, nor would they say they’re anywhere near the end of their learning curves. At Wayne Magazine, we learn something new with every issue we put in your hands. We hope you will, too.
