“IT’S A VERY SYMMETRICAL SETTING, SO WE WANTED TO BREAK IT UP.”
– VERONICA PLUTA, INTERIOR DESIGNER
LOVELY AND LINEAR
The wall mirror and table in the dining room are both 60-inch squares. Two banquette seats face each other at the table, with chairs drawn up to the
other sides. “It’s a very symmetrical setting, so we wanted to break it up,” Pluta says. The circle embedded in the mirror, the circular chandelier and the
pattern in the window treatments complement the circles in the living room. Each piece of wood in the mirror has been hand-painted and hand-laid to
adhere to one another. Glass covers the mahogany-stained wood to protect it. (Right) The kitchen is an extension of the family room, and uses the
same window treatments. The hardwood floor is made of six-inch planks.
