BEFORE AND AFTER David and Angela Kohle remodeled the home they bought in 1998, inside and out.
For 31 years, Angela has taught Spanish at Pequannock Township High School, and David works as an auto re-inspector for an insurance company. David was football commissioner for 10 years, and coached his sons( Joseph and Benjamin) in pee wee and youth football for Boys & Girls Club of Pequannock. He served on the board of directors of Boys & Girls Club of Northwest New Jersey, overseeing club houses in both Wayne and Pequannock. He’ s a high school umpire for varsity baseball for New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association, and is currently mayor of the town he loves.
“ We needed a bigger full-size bathroom for our master bedroom, and wanted a walk-in closet. From there the project blossomed,” says David. They gutted the existing bathroom, added aroom out back, went out over the existing garage – and so their small renovation gained momentum and their carpentry wish list came true. According to Angela, Guy Hall of Sticks NStones is an artist who wields his magic with tools instead ofbrushes.
The Kohle family stayed in the house during construction, and stored their furniture in a beautiful shed they temporarily set in the driveway. When the project was complete, they donated it to the local high school where it’ snow used to store baseball and softball equipment.
