What Lies Ahead?
A
s we look into the future, what is it
we see for our Kinship? With the changes
wrought by the recent update to Helm’s
Deep and the western portion of Rohan,
many of us have been struck by how drastic
some of those changes are. But what, really, do they portend?
From a gameplay point of view, I’ve heard
many members exclaim that they are now
more powerful than ever. Personally, I was
dismayed upon opening the client to find
some of my most beloved and go-to skills
were gone. Vanished. It seemed to me at
that time that there was no real sense in
progressing forward. I mean, who wants to
start all over again as a rank newbie after
putting years into building and learning
your class and character?
I’ve also heard some not-quite-silent wonders and worries about where our Kinship
Editorial

is going, and the means that are being used
to get there.
our members see the merit and value in
having this medium available.
This edition of Waybound is dedicated to
providing answers to some of these questions and concerns, and to try to provide
an open, thoughtful environment for our
members to ponder these cares for themselves, and what it will mean to their future
gameplay here in Middle Earth.
So, what lies ahead? In this edition you’ll
find new features; a bi-weekly calendar,
Meeting Minutes, the introduction of our
Alliance articles section, screenshots, and
other features.
The advent of Waybound, and all the potential it holds for disseminating information, news, fellowship, and more, is only
one change in a growing trend by The
Witch Kings to make it easier to reach out
to all members, here on the Mother server, Firefoot, but also to our now expanding
presence on Imladris and eventually, other
server/worlds as well.
The response to WayBound has been positive. This makes me happy, not only because it’s kinda my baby, but it means that
We’d love to hear what you, the member,
thinks about these items, as well as the
magazine overall, so please feel free to drop
us a note through in-game mail, a tell, or
an email to: [email protected].
You can also feel free to submit screenshots, ideas, and, Valar forbid, complaints
and corredtions.
Until the nest time,
