WA X H AW P R O G R A M S FAQ Amy Merrill, Waxhaw’s Program Coordinator, answered some frequently asked questions about programs. Do I have to sign up in advance for a program? Yes, we require pre-registration for most programs and highly encourage registering for our summer Fun Days in the Park program even if the program is free. It just helps us plan on the number of supplies to purchase. Also, for some of our programs the instructors have a minimum number of participants in order to hold the program. What if I sign up and then can’t make it, do I get a refund? A full refund will be issued if you cancel a program registration 24 hours before the class or the start of a multi-week session. No-shows are nonrefundable. Discounted rates or prorated fees for missing a class are not given. In the event that Waxhaw Parks & Recreation or the instructor cancels a program, a full refund will be issued. What happens if the program has a minimum number of registrants and the minimum is not met? You will be notified of the program cancellation 24 hours prior to the start date of the program and a full refund will be issued. What if I have food or other allergies? Please let us know when you register through RecDesk about any food or medical allergies and we will accommodate your needs.
