PUBLIC SERVICES STAFF MEMBERS EARN
STATE INSPECTION CERTIFICATION
One of Waxhaw’s very own, Brian Sansom, who serves as the town’s Auto Mechanic Supervisor,
recently spearheaded a movement to have the Town of Waxhaw certified by the State License
and Theft Bureau as an official NC State Inspection Station.
The main objective is to be able to perform annual vehicle inspections on town and state owned
vehicles in conjunction with routine maintenance. Having the ability to perform inspections
and maintenance in-house will be more efficient financially and create a time-savings by
eliminating the need for duplicate trips to an outsourced mechanic.
Currently, The Town of Waxhaw has two employees who are certified by the state to perform
these inspections, Daniel Scott and Brian Sansom. The certification is innovative and will be
beneficial to keep inspection costs lower.
