Waxhaw is a friendly, vibrant, prosperous town where history and creativity build an
enduring, safe and healthy community for people of all ages to live, learn, work, play or
grow a business.
TOWN MANAGER’S MESSAGE
While the cold weather outside doesn’t quite reflect it, Spring is almost here. This time
of year, as we enter our next budget season, there is a lot of discussion of projects and
programs and how to improve our current processes. You, our residents, are always
welcome to be a part of these discussions.
We communicate about town projects through our website, specifically news flashes that
will send text notifications to your phone or inbox when new information is shared. If you
have not already, please sign up to receive these notifications here so you can always stay in
the loop.
Additionally, there are two opportunities at every regular Board of Commissioners meeting
to give public input. You can publicly speak to the Board by signing up in the Community
Room prior to the meeting. In addition to our bi-monthly public meetings, we also
regularly hold public information sessions about larger projects.
NCDOT will be hosting a public information meeting on March 14th from 4-7 PM at
Weddington United Methodist Church. Waxhaw staff will be on hand to answer questions
about the NC-16 widening project and collect input from the public. I highly recommend
you attend and get involved in this opportunity to be a part of this crucial project.
Thank you for staying engaged with our town and for making the effort to stay informed. If
you have further questions, please contact us at [email protected].
