TOWN MANAGER’S MESSAGE
June is a busy month for the Town of Waxhaw. Summer events are in full swing, and we’ve
wrapped up another successful year of Kaleidoscope Fest, our annual spring festival.
Kaleidoscope is an incredible showcase of all the talent of our local artists, including
students of Waxhaw schools. You can read more about these artists and Kaleidoscope Fest
on page 5.
This summer, live performances will continue with our Jammin’ By the Tracks summer
concert series. The first Friday of June, August, and September, join us by the water tower
to enjoy the musical talents of local musicians. Grab dinner with your family beforehand at
a downtown Waxhaw restaurant and pull up some lawn chairs for the perfect summer night
out right in our town.
June is also a big month for our Board of Commissioners, as the Board will vote on the
proposed budget for the 2018-19 Fiscal Year. If you missed the public meetings and work
sessions held on the budget, you can watch all of them on our Town of Waxhaw YouTube
page, youtube.com/TownofWaxhawNC. We encourage you to read a synopsis of the most
recent budget proposal on page 3.
