TOWN MANAGER’S MESSAGE
It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. There is a lot for Waxhaw to be proud
of in 2019. Our town has prioritized creating a community where we can connect, learn,
and engage with each other as residents and neighbors.
To round up the year, we will celebrate the outgoing Commissioners and swear in our
newly elected officials at 5:30 PM on Tuesday, December 10th in the Waxhaw PD
Community Room. If you’d like to be more involved with the town, Waxhaw is seeking
volunteers to serve on appointed Boards & Commissions. If you would like to get involved
in our wonderful community, please read more on page 7.
We hope you’ll take advantage of the robust schedule of holiday events here in Waxhaw.
There are countless family friendly events for the month of December happening in
downtown Waxhaw and surrounding areas. They reflect our town’s growing diversity and
are a great way to experience our downtown area in a festive light. You can find photos of
this past weekend’s events and details of upcoming holiday events on pages 5-6.
Thank you for another wonderful year in Waxhaw. We look forward to teaching and
learning more with you so that our community will be even more connected in 2020. We
wish you and your families a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
