CANCELLED
For the health and safety of our community, Waxhaw’s
Spring Clean Up Day scheduled for April 6th is cancelled.
Our bi-annual bulk Clean Up Day events require more
staff to manually lift bulk items, and they require more
contact among Waste Pro staff, as well as contact with
residents’ items. The event is cancelled for the safety of
their staff and our residents. Please do not leave bulk
items outside as they will not be picked up.

Governor Roy Cooper has issued a “stay at home” order for the entire
state of North Carolina to help combat the spread of COVID-19. The
order went into effect at 5 PM on Monday, March 30. The order will
stay in place for 30 days or until it is repealed, replaced or rescinded
by another Executive Order. “It’s what we have to do to save lives,”
Cooper said. “It has the force of law.”
The order directs residents to stay at home unless you need to leave
for essentials such as a job, food, medicine, outdoor exercise or to help
someone.
The order bans gatherings of more than 10 people and directs
individuals to stay at least 6 feet away from one another. Funerals are
permitted to include no more than 50 people while practicing social
distancing requirements.
Encourage our community to stay
home to prevent the spread of
COVID-19 by using the Stay Home
Union County Facebook filter!
