Smallworlds has recently released a new Play item: Play Surfaces! These surfaces cover the ground your avatar covers with either a floral print, a sparkling runway, and many more! They give off serious attributes, though some are on the fence on whether they like them or not. So, did Smallworlds create a serious score in the ballpark, or a serious miss? We took to the original forum posted by Madison Smallworlds for this answer. The answer? Well...
Mason Fetter stated:
"They seem cool, a little bit too 'poppy.' I'd love them if they were a bit more subtle, but good job."
Axle Giratina spoke his mind with:
"Oh come on, of the seven shown in the spoiler zone, you didn't release the best two. I do love the concept of these though. Keep them coming."
We think it's safe to say he's a fan!
Broken Inpeices hesitantly typed:
"Same. I really like the concept, but the designs I'm not a fan of."
I guess Smallworlds needs to step their design game up!
Sammi Pandas suggested:
1. A spinning "color wheel" (or even a rainbow circle, like the VIP halo)
2. Something like the hadardous material sign, glowing green.
3. SKULLS! Something like a circle of skulls, rotating."
Glad to see she's not the only one who has been suggesting more design outlooks to Smallworlds!
So, with a majority of positivity, as always, it looks like Smallworlds has really stepped up their game! Though the designs are a bit too playful (no pun intended) for some, others embrace it! Now its your turn! Do you think these New Play Surfaces are all that they're cracked up to be?
