Her work is being published in a local magazine in Sitka and is being used in materials for the Forest Service .
Tripp is not only a scientist and established artist , but also a featured scientist on conservationist Jeff
Corwin ’ s ABC show called Wildlife Nation . In this episode , Tripp teaches Corwin about the importance of protecting sockeye salmon , and how they are the foundation for much of Alaska ' s ecosystem and economy . The episode aired Jan . 22 , 2022 .
“ I was beyond thrilled to help and be a part of this episode . I had the opportunity to work along Jeff Corwin whose conservation efforts I have admired since I was a kid . It was even more special to have both my colleague and me in the episode since we are the only two women in the Fish & Aquatic Ecology Program in the U . S . Forest Service Sitka Ranger District ,” said Tripp .
