E N G AG E M E N T S
1. Hayley Muley ’16 and Omar Elmanasterly ’17
got engaged in Dubai in December 2018. They were
riding ATVs through the desert and had stopped to
take pictures when Omar popped the question. These
Dolphin sweethearts met in English class at JU back
in 2014, and have been together ever since.
2. Megan Zimmerly ’17 and Christian Zapateiro ’16
became engaged in December 2018. They met at JU in
2016 while both in the accelerated nursing program.
Christian worked hard to surprise Megan with a
proposal at a Jacksonville Jaguars game, one of her
favorite places, with the mascot Jaxson De Ville by
their side at halftime.

3. Colton Sedlak ’18 and Bailey Flynn ’18 became
engaged in October 2018. The couple met in
the summer of 2016 helping with New Student
Orientation and were able to experience their junior
and senior years at JU together. Colton commissioned
into the U.S. Navy upon graduation, while Bailey
continued her education at JU and is pursuing her
master's degree in speech-language pathology.
