Festivals & Events in India:

India always boasted on rich cultural heritage and diversity. Almost all 365 days are celebrated with some festivals, events and fairs at some or the other corner. I think people they have different tastes, so you can say all 12 months are suitable for traveling to India. If you want to see the fun of Victory of good over evil, then come during October- November to India. Starting with January There are lot of events and festivals in India throughout India.
In first week of january yoga lovers can visit Pondicherry Tamilnadu for International Yoga Festival. During second week of January you can come to Mumbai for Coffee festival. There is Kite festival in Gujarat. This festival is arranged by Govt. Of Gujarat and many international Kite Flyers attend this event. At the same time during 3 rd week in January you can visit famous Bikaner camel Festival in Rajasthan. The last week is dedicated to Global Ayurveda festival in Kozikode – Kerala.
February monthis special for North India visits. In February you can visit Rishikesh for Ganga Kayak Fesival, Taj Mahotsava at Agra and many more. March is the changing of season. There is a International Yoga festival at Rishikesh. You can also visit to Mathura for festival of Colors – Holi. In February- March there is Khajuraho Dance Festival for dance lovers. April – May is a starting of Spring – come and enjoy Thrissure Pooram Festival in Kerala, Top north you can visit International Flower show in Sikkim where the rarest Species of orchids are displayed. Bihar is famous for Buddhist Circuit. you can visit Buddha Pornima festival in Bihar.( The birth celebrations of Lord Buddha).
Puri Rathyatra Festival in Odisha and Hemis festival in ladakh are definitely crowd pullers for International tourist during Jun- jul month. In August – Sepemtber head towards south- for Ganesh Festival in Maharashtra and Nehru Trophy Boat Race in Kerala. Onam is also celebrated in Kerala during September.
October and November are the important months throughout India as whole India celebrate some or the other festival. There is 9 days huge celebration and dance in Gujarat – Garba –( Dancing for whole nights in rounds), Day 10 – dussera is the day of victory og good over evil. You can visit – Kullu( Himachal Pradesh) Dussera, Mysore Dussera.( Karnataka). Durga Puja Festival in Kolkata is World Famous. See illuminated Mumbai buildings during Diwali celebrations. Pushkar – Rajasthan Celebrates Pushkar camel fair during Nov.
December is the month for Christmas and New yeat celebrations. Goa is the best place to visit during this time. Before that many people visit Chennai Dance And Music Festival in Chennai.
