WATERTOWN
COMMUNITY GUIDE 2026
Chamber supports local community
More than 90 businesses and organizations in the greater Watertown area make up the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce. It is WACC’ s mission to foster community growth through dedicated support of its member organizations, and through partnerships with community organizations and local governments.
One of WACC’ s first events of the year is the Easter Eggstravaganza. Held the day before Easter, children have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, make crafts, play games, and decorate cookies! Best of all, the event is free!
In the summer, Watertown is home to the Rails to Trails festival. During the annual festival, WACC hosts the annual Duck Races. The races are typically held in the Crow River as long as river conditions and weather allow. Tickets for the 2 Buck Duck Race can be purchased at local businesses for $ 2 in the weeks leading up to the race. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are awarded prizes in Chamber Check $!
Chamber Check $ are local gift certificates that are good for merchandise and services and are accepted at all Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce members. They are a great way to support our community! Chamber Check $ are also available for purchase at the service counter of Marketplace Foods.
Fall is the busiest time of year for WACC. In September, the Chamber honors the teachers, staff, and administrators of our local schools with the Educator’ s Appreciation Dinner. Ladies’ Night Out will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, from 5 to 8 p. m. During Ladies’ Night Out you can stroll downtown and visit businesses and home-based vendors. WACC will host the annual Downtown Trick or Treat! Area children are invited to trick or treat local businesses and organizations in a fun and safe environment. The Downtown Trick or Treat will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, from 4 p. m. to 6 p. m.
The official kick-off to the holiday season is Watertown Christmas, always held on the first Saturday of December. WACC starts the day with the annual Santa-stravaganza( 9 a. m. to noon) at City Hall with letters to Santa, crafts, games, and FREE pictures with Santa Claus! Stay for the day and participate in the Watertown Christmas events scheduled throughout the day and then join us for the Holiday Tree Lighting at 4:30 p. m. in City Center Park. Santa will arrive on the decorated Watertown Fire Department sleigh right before we light the tree at 5 p. m!
The Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce meets on the third Wednesday of the month. For more information, visit WatertownAreaChamber. com or call 952-955-7469.
