Sports and recreation are thriving

Golf, baseball and running are just a few of the recreation opportunities that the Watertown and Mayer area has for your enjoyment.
GOLF
Several nearby golf courses, including two in Watertown, are available. B’ s on the River is a 9-hole course on the north side of town and also features a full-service bar, restaurant and banquet facility. Just a few miles east of town on County Road 24 is Timber Creek Golf Course, which features 18 holes.
In nearby Waconia, golfers can play the 18-hole Island View Golf Course, and just 5 miles east of Watertown on Highway 20, golfers can enjoy 18 holes at Pioneer Creek Golf Course in Maple Plain. Fifteen miles west of Watertown on Highway 7 is another 18 hole course, ShawdowBrooke Golf Course.

HOLLYWOOD SPORTS COMPLEX
Just a few miles west of Watertown at the intersection of CRs 122 & 21, the complex has now found its niche in a rural setting as a family entertainment center.

TOWN TEAM BASEBALL
Whether you’ re interested in playing or just watching, local amateur baseball is found in the Crow River Valley League. Watertown’ s team is the Red Devils and Mayer’ s team is the Blazers. There are CRVL teams in New Germany, Waconia, Winsted, Young America, St. Bonifacius and other cities.
