Has the future dried up for mining?

The Marico River in North West Province. Several
new mining applications have been made in the Groot
Marico region recently, where environmentalists have
concerns of the effect of mining on the river. The
Marico River system feeds the Limpopo River that
forms part of the border between SA and Botswana.
