Jeep Beach 2014 Classic CJ5 While I attended Jeep Beach 2014 I spotted this classic CJ5 waiting in line for the Obstacle Course with their 1967 ΒΌ ton 2 wheel M416 trailer in tow, and I wanted to know more. So I tracked the owners down in the infield of Daytona International Speedway. Proud owners Norm & Sue Vanderheyden of Hobe Sounds, Florida have owned this classic 1982 CJ5 for fourteen years. Recently they spent eighteen months doing a frame up build and restore. They had rebuilt the 6 cylinder 258. The tub is an original Willis Overland, and the Renegade decals are from Phoenix Graphics. Norm found the M416 trailer for sale on ebay on night for a buy it now price of $650, which was located in North Carolina. A rare trailer in such great shape was surely a great investment and compliments the CJ5 perfectly. He had the trailer Tuff Coated on the inside, and added the gas and water cans. Norm and Sue enjoy cruising the beach and festivals in the area with their perfectly restored Jeep. Sue was excited to run the Obstacle Course for the first time, and handled it like a pro. The M416 follows along on the dirt off camber course beautifully. I enjoyed speaking with the Vanderheydens and enjoyed all the Jeepers I met at Jeep Beach 2014. I have to say this set up was truly a classic. 32 April 2014
