Roller Coaster was one killer feature for the
day. A great double dip slick rock section that
got the blood pumping a little bit as the rain
continued to fall. The hills were short and
sweet and traction was low on the wet rocks.
With nowhere to go but down, we each tip toed
over the edge once the guy in front had made
it to the dirt at the bottom. Once everyone was
down, lots of high fives were exchanged, as we
reminisced over the ground that was cover so
far that morning.
We continued to chat and mingle amongst
ourselves as chomped down on lunch that was
organized by Adel from Warn. As we ate we
kept looking back at the wet, slippery monstrosity of an obstacle we just came down and
were just glad that we didn’t have to go up it!
I had spoken too soon though because as soon as we were done with lunch, trail boss Cliff turned the group
around and back up and over Rollercoaster was the pathway onward! It was definitely a little intimidating, but
with a little throttle and finesse it was no big deal.
From there it wasn’t long before we hit the main feature for the day, High Dive! Normally this obstacle is run
downward, hence the Dive part of the name. It is a quite impressive formation that has high consequences if not
done just right. There is a long, steep fall to the bottom if you vWB6
