Anna won’t be
coming
into the rock
racing
world blindfolded,
she is already
getting
lots of seat
time
by participating in
American Rock
Crawling’s Powder
Puff
Races! per Anna
“Racing
Kenny Forbs’
rig
was not what
I had
planned in the
beginning, but I sure
am glad
it worked out
the way
it did! When
figuring out whose
buggy
I was going to
race in
the Powderpuff
event, I
had planned to
run Tim
Bacon’s new
buggy, simply
because he lived
only 30
minutes away
and I
was going to be
able to
get some seat
time
before actually
racing
the buggy.
However, Tim was cut
short
for time on
getting
the buggy completely
finished for the
races.
In the mean time, I sent messages on Facebook, and asked many people of whose rig I could race. Then it hit me!
Kenny Forbs! I sen t him a message on Facebook and he was more than willing to let me race his buggy. We were
able to work things out, (like if I was able to reach the pedals) with Kenny being 6 foot tall and me being hardly
over 5 feet Kenny’s idea was to, “wear a pair of Hollywood high heels so I could reach!” Fortunately, Kevin Ray, the
builder of the rig and my copilot for the race, custom made me pedals so that I could reach the gas and break!
Kenny and Kevin were very supportive of getting me started and showing me how everything worked on
the buggy. I am looking forward to running his rig again in the future to increase my seat time. Thankfully, no high
heels were needed and I was able to race! It was a very exciting first race for me!”
