Charity Auction is a Huge Success
This Project, that many have helped with, with the main person helping was “The Vermont
Jeepgirl” , it was at Sue’s suggestion and then follow thru that caught a little bit of my old Passion
of helping others, fired me up, had me calling upon friends who haven’t heard from me in many
years, but now, this Project. I wanted to remember my Son, Douglas in a manner befitting to him
and who he was and wanted to become. This Re-Purpose Store, complete with a mirror on-line
store, so that Sales can go to anyone we can get shipping too and in return help Children, all over,
Directly, seeing our help firsthand, changing their lives for the better, and hopefully giving them
a little relief.
These Folks listed below have donated items to the Auction to help make it such the Successs it
was, together we raised $4,185.55 from the Auction. Awesome Start to the Project of purchasing
a Building, for back taxes, and fees, plus transfer fees into the Non-Profit’s name. This is the hard
part, raising the amount they requested, we’re not there yet, with the total needed being
$9,304.58. Once the Property is transferred, then we can get to work, as it does need that, and
we already have 14 folks from several States and at this writting a local Contractor freind of mine
is providing a crew of 3 for 4 days, and the local Home Depot said they would do their part.
I have worked with these folks and others to get things accomplished here locally, in the recent
past as partners providing wheel chair ramps and other small projects.
