After searcing for a new off road rig Lorie finally came across a 2000 TJ. She spent countless days trying to get the owner to lower the price as it was $1,000 over her budget. After some time she finally wore down the owner and the price and was able to buy ‘Joanzie’ in 2010. Right after buying Joanzie, Lorie knew she wanted to push the envelope and having a Jeep allowed her to build it specifically for what she wanted and for anywhere she wanted. The TJ was bone stock on 31’’ tires when Lorie bought her. Joanzie’s first modifications was a 3 inch lift and 33’’ shoes. This started Lorie’s addiction to off roading to the point she got her Jeep’s name because she is always Joanzing to take her off road! Lorie knew in order to rock crawl with the ‘big boys’ she was going to have to beef up her TJ. This started a body lift, re gearing as well as another set of tires. Lorie says she will own Joanzie until the day she dies never replacing her but only her parts that break. She even stated “I will die in my sleep or die in my Jeep”! I asked Lorie ‘’What one word comes to mind when you think of off roading” and she said “Passion!” Her favorite part is meeting the people, the adrenaline rush when she is behind the wheel, and the self accomplishment of finishing a course or tackling something she was first nervous about.
