Free 1 Year Anniversary Special Edition Offroad Parks ... ..Big & Small Misty Crice A Group of Friends fullfill a childhood promise Leaving Missouri, a 10 hour road trip lead Jake McMahan and his band of friends, to the Little Sahara State Park in Waynoka Ok. The group had always heard about this park, wanting to go since they were children. Anticipation to get their bikes out and ride the huge sand dunes had been building for a long time. “the pictures do not do the hills justice and were a ton of fun”, per Jake. Little Sahara State Park is 1600 acres of vast sand dunes made of terrace deposits formed over time. There are remnants of prehistoric times when the Cimarron River flowed through the entire area. Although the park offers RV sites and tent sites along with picnic areas and showers the group decided to stay at a local Hotel. Things got rowdy with this group of friends, once the sun went down. Little Sahara permits night and day riding. Jake could not ride his fourwheeler at night due to not having a tail light, so, he caught a ride with his friend Brandon Recar in his Razor. Nursing a broken hand, Brandon was not going to miss out on this experience and was ripping through the trails. Being one handed was a hinderence and lost control while racing his friends by going over an embankment, rolling over, passenger side hitting first. Thankfully no one was hurt and just a couple push pins were missing. After a long day of riding Jake and his friend Brandon decided to go back to the hotel early so they could get hot showers before their friends made it back. They ended up getting lost for over 2 hours managing not to get the hot shower he was looking for, but said, “he made some good memories, with good friends”. Jake McMahan 14 April 2014
