Easter Jeep Safari Moab, Utah 2013
Photos and Article Brian Gabriel
Being from the east coast, I had always dreamed of one day making it to Moab to do some serious wheeling. It only made sense that the very first trip I was going to make there was going to be for one of the most iconic yearly events that happens in southern Utah every spring, Easter Jeep Safari! I made plans with Seth Johnson, the owner and shop foreman of Trail Ridge Offroad in Ogden, Utah, to co-pilot his Toyota buggy during the last couple of days of the event. Yes, I know …. many of you are wondering, Why would you wheel a Toyota during the largest Jeep event in the country? My CJ 7 was 3 weeks away from being trail worthy and it was better to go to Moab in a Toyota than to not go at all! After a quick oatmeal breakfast Friday, we headed to the Rusty nail trail, exploring some mild trails on the way.
