Being from the east coast , I had always dreamed of one day making it to Moab to do some serious wheeling . It only made sense that the very first trip I was going to make there was going to be for one of the most iconic yearly events that happens in southern Utah every spring , Easter Jeep Safari ! I made plans with Seth Johnson , the owner and shop foreman of Trail Ridge Offroad in Ogden , Utah , to co-pilot his Toyota buggy during the last couple of days of the event . Yes , I know …. many of you are wondering , Why would you wheel a Toyota during the largest Jeep event in the country ? My CJ 7 was 3 weeks away from being trail worthy and it was better to go to Moab in a Toyota than to not go at all ! After a quick oatmeal breakfast Friday , we headed to the Rusty nail trail , exploring some mild trails on the way .
