The Gift of Family
The most rewarding parts of working at an
animal shelter are watching animals find their
forever homes and helping reunite lost pets
with their families. Adoptions and reclaims are
many times measured in numbers. Logically,
the more animals who are adopted or reunited
with their families, the more successful a shelter
is seen. Yet behind every adoption and
reclaim number is an individual or family and
behind these people are stories that warm
our hearts. All of the animals pictured in this
photo essay will be home for the holidays,
thanks to all who support the work of the
Washington County SPCA. With your continued
support, we can be sure that even more pets
will find loving homes in the year to come.
