HAPPY TAILS “Babe” was close to 18 years old when she was surrendered Late on New Years Eve, a man walked into the shelter stating that he wished to surrender his dog. In short order, the WCSPCA staff found that “Babe” was over 17 years of age. In most shelters (and in times past with the WCSPCA) Babe would have been considered ‘unadoptable’. The staff was saddened by this surrender because they knew finding a home for a dog that old might be tough. A comment about ‘Babe’s’ surrender was posted on Facebook. Sharon McCullough immediately stepped forward and Babe - now ‘Pebbles’ is living a loved and fitting ‘winter season’ of her life. “She (Pebbles) is so great and very sweet. She loves to take grandma on Pebbles can now sleep walks on the farm” Sharon.
