Late on New Years Eve, a man walked into the shelter stating that he
wished to surrender his dog. In short order, the WCSPCA staff found that
“Babe” was over 17 years of age. In most shelters (and in times past with the
WCSPCA) Babe would have been considered ‘unadoptable’. The staff was saddened by
this surrender because they knew finding a home for a dog that old might be tough.
A comment about ‘Babe’s’ surrender was posted on Facebook. Sharon McCullough
immediately stepped forward and Babe - now ‘Pebbles’ is living a loved and fitting ‘winter
season’ of her life.

was coming home with me.” A street cat brought in by Bartlesville Animal Control, Necliff had his share )
