• infrastructure and connectivity : Creating and maintaining effective infrastructure that supports a remote workforce and mobility for goods and people .
• entrepreneurship and innovation : Fueling a culture where entrepreneurship and innovation are rewarded .
• place and community : Supporting job recovery and growth in urban and rural communities to ensure Washingtonians can live where they want to live .
To arrive on these five pillars , the AWB Institute examined more than 5,000 existing economic plans across the state and found consistent themes in the issues that local communities chose to address . Rather than reinvent the wheel , the AWB Institute adopted those themes as the pillars guiding the effort to remake Washington ’ s economy .
