Behind every successful entrepreneur is a critical support network. Kitsap Bank
is a family bank with a commitment to improving the state’s business climate.
Kitsap Bank has encouraged entrepreneurs and Washington employers since
1908. Today, it has 20 locations and more than $1 billion in assets. Along the way,
Hannah Langer served as the first female bank president in the western U.S. Later,
her daughter and granddaughter would assume leadership roles in a Washington
institution that has supported the manufacturing sector and other employers over
the years.
The bank also encourages
new ventures with a startup
competition through its edg3
FUND.
Applicants are chosen in
part by a public vote, and make
a pitch before a live audience
and independent panel of
judges. The prize is $25,000 to
fund their company.
The sixth annual edg3
FUND competition was held
in Bremerton in November.
