what’s working Celebrating Excellence The fourth-annual Evening of Excellence was AWB’s biggest celebration yet of Washington’s outstanding employers. Andrew Lenderman AWB honored Washington’s outstanding employers at the fourth-annual Evening of Excellence in November. This special event at Seattle’s Benaroya Hall celebrated achievements that include innovative solutions, greater energy efficiency and strong small business advocacy. At A Glance More than 220 employers, entrepreneurs and supporters celebrated the best of Washington’s private sector at the Evening of Excellence. These employers were honored for their creativity solving problems, bringing new products to market, expanding clean energy and more. Any way you say it, AWB’s 2019 Evening of Excellence was all about honoring the employers building a better Washington. This year’s event was the biggest yet, with more than 220 entrepreneurs, advocates and business leaders celebrating Washington’s private sector at Benaroya Hall in Seattle. Ten employers were honored for their outstanding work at this festive event created by AWB in 2016. “This is our chance to say thank you to the extraordinary Washington employers that make our state such a great place to live and work,” AWB President Kris Johnson said. “These companies create good jobs, invest in our communities and serve as an inspiration for all entrepreneurs. At AWB, we’re honored to work on their behalf, and advocate for the right conditions so all employers can thrive.” And it’s never too early to plan for next year.
