Bus Tour – 7 days, 7 videos
AWB’s whirlwind seven-day Manufacturing
Week Bus Tour took us from the upper Olympic
Peninsula to the Palouse. We visited more than 50
manufacturers that are providing great jobs in large
and small communities across Washington state.
This series of videos shows just how deep into the
woods we’ll go to tell our member’s stories.
AWB News - 2018 Rural Jobs
Summit Recap
We once again convened community leaders and
lawmakers to discuss the issues critical to the
economic recovery of rural Washington. Our third
Rural Jobs Summit in two years was hosted at
Lower Columbia College in Longview, and featured
panels on rural broadband, early learning, natural
resources, opportunity zones, access to capital,
housing, and ended with words
from Senate and House leadership.
2018 AWB Evening of Excellence
Highlights
We honored our state’s top employers at our third
annual Evening of Excellence Awards at Benaroya
Hall in late November. Six deserving companies
took home hardware for their work in the fields of
workforce development, environmental stewardship,
entrepreneurship, technological advancement and
overall excellence. We also honored
this year’s Manufacturing Excellence
Award winners, which were
announced during our Manufacturing
Week Bus Tour.
