Grassroots Alliance Grows to 51 Local Chambers;
Founding Members and Top Advocates Honored
A new closer collaboration between AWB and local chambers of commerce
which began this year at Legislative Summit has quickly grown into a
mutually beneficial exchange of information.
MEA Award Winners
With a record 38 nominations for this year’s Manufacturing Excellence
Awards, it’s clear that modern, high-tech, environmentally friendly
manufacturing continues to be an important part of the Washington
economy.
The Grassroots Alliance, which started with a goal of including 25 chambers,
ended up launching with 34 members and quickly grew to 50 by the time
AWB met with founding members in October at the annual meeting of the
Washington Chamber of Commerce Executives. By the end of the meeting
the list had grown to 51 with the decision by the Cashmere Chamber of
Commerce to join the Alliance.
